Breastfeeding should be fun & enjoyable but that doesn't mean it is easy. It is normal to need some help getting started or sorting out concerns.
Regarding COVID-19 I am providing IN HOME consults effective May 12. Screening will occur at time of booking and again upon arrival to your home. I AM providing phone and video services for people who would rather that option or do not pass the screening. Phone and Video may to seem ineffective, but the method works quite well and is a promising way to help whatever breastfeeding concerns you are having right now.

In Home consultations are available Monday to Friday daytimes. Evening and weekend appointments available by request. Please call or text for those appointments. 306-550-6143
What happens in a consult? Will I need more than one visit?
During an initial consultation, I do a full examination & history of the mother, the baby & breastfeeding. This provides me with as much information as I can get to ensure we have all factors that can impact breastfeeding taken into consideration.
I assist as needed, give suggestions to help improve feeding while I observe, provide a summary of my assessment and action a breastfeeding success plan. I make any referrals to others as needed with an explanation of the benefits & objective of the referrals.
I follow up within the client portal with a written summary of the consultation plus any relevant protocols as handouts or links. I am then available via phone or text support within the client portal for follow up questions or assessment and changes of plans if the original plan is not working as planned for 2 weeks.
There is always going to be more complex cases that require repeat visits.
